Code of Conduct for Junior Cricketers
- Play according to the Laws and spirit of the game.
- Respect the opposition. Opponents should be treated with courtesy and respect.
- Always respect the umpire and never dispute any decisions.
- Be on time and be prepared for matches and training sessions.
- When training or playing maintain a positive attitude and encourage others to do the same.
- Never use foul or abusive language before, during, or after a match or training session.
Code of Conduct for Parents/Carers
- Encourage your child to learn the rules and play within them.
- Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials.
- Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.
- Never force your child to take part in sport.
- Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding good performances of all.
- Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.
- Publicly accept officials' judgements.
- Support your child's involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.
- Use correct and proper language at all times.
- Encourage and guide performers to accept responsibility for their own performance and behaviour.
- To avoid confusion please do not coach from the boundary during matches or interrupt training sessions.
Covid-19
- All members and guest are required to adhere to Government, ECB and the Club’s Covid guidelines and procedures.
- If a member is required to complete a quarantine period this must be adhered to and members should not visit the club or make themselves available for matches
- Infringing any Covid-19 protocols will be in breach of the club’s code of conduct and may impact on a member’s membership of the club.
