Firsts travel to Acton
The long winter months are nearly done.
Saturday 19th April sees the Twickenham 1st XI and indeed the 2nd XI in action. The ones travel into West London to face Acton. The side is, as ever at this time of year, an eclectic array of talents. There are the tried and tested first teamers, the young guns looking to make a mark and the old warhorses who just keep going (Robbie Bosier, just in case that's not clear).
The full side is as follows.
Don Manuwelge (c)
Mo Ahmad
Robbie Bosier
Preet Himanshukumar
Ben Leale-Green
Adam Mather
Heath Mather
Akash Multani
Sami Shori
Blake van der Linde
Ethan Wright
Seconds host Acton's 2s
The seconds don't always start their pre-seasons at the same time as their respective first XIs. This year, however, they do.
Both sides are, well, not quite as they might be when the league kicks off on 10 May. No matter, folks are blowing cobwebs away and getting back into the swing of things.
Hinay Dassani will be leading the troops in what is a clear and obvious audition for Carlos Nunes's job captaining the ones. It's been a long time coming, but perhaps Dassani is now finally ready? We shall see.
The Twickenham 2s will be
Hinay Dassani (c)
Kevin Cavilla
Hiran Dissanayake
Oli George
Jarryd Knot
Vamshi Krishna
Frankie Lingemann
Imran Niazi
Varad Rampal
Nishan Singh
Praween Siriwardena
Go well everyone!
